In addition, this strictly limited edition of the
DB7 incorporates
design cues from other Alfred Dunhill
products for the instruments, the
interior and the exterior.
These include, in particular, elements of
the new Millennium
range of watches and the AD 2000 pen collection which
are
being unveiled this year.
The result of a programme of co-operation between
designers at Aston
Martin Lagonda and Alfred Dunhill, this
single limited edition of the
Aston Martin DB7 is not to be
offered for sale but is scheduled for
display at a series of
prestigious Alfred Dunhill and Aston Martin events
throughout the world this year.
"We hope that this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful
relationship between our two companies," said Mr Bob Dover,
Chairman and
Chief Executive of Aston Martin Lagonda.
"We are both traditional British companies with unique
expertise, pedigree and experience in the
design, manufacture
and sale of the finest of bespoke tailored products
to the most
discerning of customers throughout the world.
"Each of us has a world-class reputation and I believe
that there is a
natural synergy of thought between our two
companies."
In addition to its humidor and carbon fibre pens the
Alfred Dunhill DB7
has design features from other Alfred
Dunhill products incorporated in
the door handles, the
surround for the boot release, the gear lever and
the
wheel centres.
The metallic silver body colour has been created exclusively
for this
unique DB7 and a development of the body colour is
applied to the alloy
road wheels to highlight the Millennium
watch design wheel centres.
The interior is upholstered in Charcoal Connolly hide
with contrasting
polished steel panels around the instruments
which employ the graphics
from the Millennium watch range
whose prices range from £650 to $20,000.
To complete the specification a set of matching
Alfred Dunhill luggage
is housed in the boot of this
custom built DB7.
